Long ago in the Orient, the Hamam were places to relax for the traveller where one could cleanse themselves of the desert sands and regain strength for the toils that lay ahead.  In the Hamam, body and soul find one another.   In the past stress meant the desert, today it represents the cities, traffic and the frenetic pace of modern life.

To start your week at Reiser in a relaxing way, we suggest an ablution in the Hamam.  Free yourself from the stress of daily life with a massage using soap suds and wrap yourself in a magic atmosphere of wellbeing.

Before beginning the bath ceremony, you will receive a towel also called “pestemal” and in this way you can begin this incredible experience with a peeling in the Turkish bath (approx 15 min.)  After a shower, relax on the warm stone benches (aprox. 10 min.) after which you will be accompanied by the “Telak” or Hamam master,  to the lounges of the Hamam. The ritual continues with an exfoliation of the skin using a textured  glove called “Kassa” with emollient properties.  The impurities of the skin are eliminated and the skin is refreshed and smooth again.  

Next is a massage with soap suds that is made utilising the “Lif” : a linen sac filled with soap suds and with high quality natural soap.  The ritual continues with a cleansing shower using mountain spring water of differing temperatures (duration:  approx. 60 min.)  Next is a stop in the relaxation area for the ancient tea ceremony.  The bath ritual reactivates the metabolism and provides new energy.
